There’s a website out there called http://vizualize.me/ which will take the information on your resume and make it into a variety of charts. That is such a cool idea.

I’ve spent this entire week both working and prepping for a big family get-together, so I have nothing particularly interesting to share. However, I do have charts for you to enjoy. And I’m working on some creative things that hopefully I will share soon. In the meantime, charts.

The first bit is your standard “I don’t speak English, so I’m going to cobble a statement together using words I picked up out of a basket at the Salvation Army, and this shall cause much mirth among the native English tongue-folk” spam. The second one is the one that made me laugh.
So…you were moved to tears by…my flair collection? Was it the “Peanut Butter Jelly Time” one? That always makes me misty as well.

There’s this mashup of the theme song of Mad Men and a song by Nat King Cole, sung by Brian Williams’ (the news anchor) daughter. Read the description. It’s all one shot and not lip-synced or anything.

And then there’s these two guys who did a mashup of three pop songs, and damn if I don’t like their version better than all the other original songs. They used “Love the Way You Lie”, “Dynamite”, and “Teenage Dream”. I truly HATE HATE HATE the way he does his “L” (Does your tongue really have to come all the way out of your mouth? Really? Does it?), but his enthusiasm is great.
I have to work on a monster project for work that will eat my face and soul for two weeks, but I figured I would share a few things anyhoo.

People ask me why I don’t call them “infographics” like I’m supposed to. The answer is simple: “Infographics” has four syllables. “Charts” has one. I am lazy. There you go.
3. I was looking on Getty for a picture of a shovel, and I found this. So very cute.
Today, I was doing a search on Getty Images for “fitness”. Not “exercise”, not “healthy”, not “nutrition”. So why did this picture of a budgie on a pineapple come up?
Getty, methinks your search parameters be too wide.
Now, some charts that make me happy.
In keeping with my chart theme, I saw this blog about three months ago, and I every time I go to the blog, I laugh and laugh and laugh and embarrass myself. The website is Hyperbole and a Half.

This woman who writes this blog, Allie, she’s awesome. She makes truly evocative and emotionally powerful drawings in MS Paint that make me giggle unstoppably until I almost tinkle in me pantaloons. If that sounds like an oxymoron, I understand. You must go and experience for yourself. If you read only a few entries, these are the ones you should read. The first one even has a chart!
